Professor Anderko On Environmental Health Protection

Recently appointed to the Regional Health Equity Council for the Washington, D.C., Professor Laura Anderko also serves on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Children’s Health Protection Advisory Committee where she had a role in recently launching an educational website for health professionals on the benefits and risks of fish consumption.

“My career has focused on the reduction of health disparities, from my early work in public health nursing to my current work in values-based health care,” she says.
